In regards to the Fireflies song, there is bad music in every decade that is classified as “hits”. There were bands/solo acts back in the 70s that sucked just as bad as Owl City. The 70s had bands like Bread and the Carpenters producing Top 40 hits when Skynard, the Allman Bros, and Led Zep were rocking out. Don’t even get me started on the 80s! For every Guns N Roses, there is a Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam out there…
Just like your show, the cream always rises to the top!
