Ol’ Thad is joined by Beau Schembechler and Ryan from Traffic. I can’t imagine most of you will like this RodKast because the topic is very specific, and you aren’t going to like it. Professional Wrestling! TNA Wrestling has signed Eric Bischoff and the Immortal Hulk Hogan. We decided that it must be discussed. If you’d like to add yer two cents on what effect this will have for the company or on wrestling in general, feel free to leave a comment. Toooooo Sweeeeeeeet!

Will there ever be another Snacks of the Rodkast? I’d like to come and make it all about me. If you need me to repair your laptop/macbook, let me know and I’ll bring my hammer.

Any chance there will be a yellow with red Rodkast shirt? I know he’s not local, but a “Fukesamaia” shirt sounds pretty good.

One more for the good guys.

Didn’t care about wrestling until tonight. But pre-Dukes didn’t care about plump-dumpers, MMA, and going shirtless through a fast food drive-thru. Now these are my main points of interest.
So yes, I will be listening to the Rodcast on wrestling, and I will be enjoying it immensely

listening to it now… i don’t even like wrestling but I LOVE ME SOME RODKAST. you guys could talk boring ass politics and it would still be gold! Thanks for the new material, keep it coming Fukes!
October 27th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
Your guys insights were pretty much right on. “Back in the day” I was relatively big on wrestling and lost interest because it was the same thing over and over again (i.e. breaking up every team they can).
I’ll def check out Hogan…and hope they use him well.
Oh…and Racist…the Pirate Movie is a rip off and you like that? It was called THE BOAT THAT ROCKED and it came out last year….yet you don’t like Matrix rip offs, and 300 rip offs? Check the box office and see which movie did better…300 or “the boat that rocked”….
and i am looking forward to Darkest Night

Thank you Fukes, always look forward to any Rodkast - no matter what the topic!

TNA is the worst wrestling company ever and has made me hate guys who I used to love like Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe and Booker T. The wrestling is terrible 90% of the time and when it’s good the company does everything to punish you for watching the program.
I’m all for a WWE alternative-Right up until Bragging Rights (which was a really good PPV) pretty much everything since Wrestlemania has been average at best, and usually worse, but TNA still manages to be a lot worse. If they would go out of business then promotions like ROH would have more talent and might be able to grow and get more notice, and that’s a company that knows how to put on a show that isn’t a bad WCW 2000 rip off with heavily drugged washed up WWE wrestlers.
I’m glad Hogan signed with TNA because I think he’s going to be the nail in the coffin to finally finish this crap.
October 28th, 2009 at 12:54 am
Rick, you’re dead nuts on! It is word-for-word out of the WCW playbook, except they are so broke they film every retched episode from their $500 TNA rent-a-center set.
Hulk Hogan is on the Jake the Snake Roberts career path only at 200 mph!
I hope Laila Ali keeps his number close!

I think it’s good for the company in the short term. Asses will be in the seats, and they will certainly get some mainstream run. The thing is, while TNA has the new viewers watching, they need to do the best they can to get those viewers hooked to their long-term talent (a la Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Matt Morgan). If they don’t do that, it will do nothing for them in the long run, since these megastars will all be gone in just a couple years at best, if not much sooner.

I could go for more Fukes and Le Blanc talk Wrestling Rodkasts! Thanks for these!

Just listened to the show on my way into work; loved every second of it. Whenever Dukes talks wrestling, I feel like I’m 13 years old with an nWo shirt on. Great show, man!
October 28th, 2009 at 9:58 am
Thanks for this and all of these that you have done. Good to see that the rodkasts are not going away with the new hd show around. Thanks again!!

I’ll be the judge of what I like, and I like wrestling.
