I’m no comic nerd. I like super heros and I will occasionally pic up a few books from time to time but I don’t like getting bogged down in the minutiae. The Swordsman? Black Bolt? Spitfire? Lick my balls. I don’t give a shit about any of those people and I get sick and tied of Marvel trying to get me to buy crappy, lame titles by using bigger characters as tie-ins. I’m not buying one more fucking Ms. Marvel book, I don’t care how many skrulls are invading our planet. I won’t buy one more Captain Britian comic no matter how bad Stark and Rogers are beefing. And I’m gonna tell you something T. Are you listening?I’m not gonna be one of those assholes! Now, all of that being said, let me admit that the picture above makes me a hypocrite. Some nefarious would-be anti-hero running around in red, white and blue Iron Man armor? I’ll use my cock to sign myself up for that. Read on true believer:
Who is the Iron Patriot? Who are the Dark Avengers?

I hate to say it, but this looks like the cheesy gimmick that will bring the old Captain America back to life somehow…

Well, as an avid Avengers reader I think the likelihood of Steve Rogers coming back to life so soon is low, although they used to say there were only 2 deaths that count in Marvel, Bucky and Gwen Stacy. Clearly, Bucky has become Captain America so they’ve been willing to shake things up. I think that the Dark Avengers are supposed to be darker versions of classic avengers characters hence the Iron Patriot, a new Hawkeye, and some kind of Wolverine. I’m definitely looking forward to Dark Reign as I’ve always enjoyed villains more than heroes.

I am a big fan of the stories, but not so much for the comic book format. Hell for $30 I will wait and buy a years worth in paperback trade style. Unless you can make me think otherwise dukes I am going to have to sit out on that till the end of that run, or unless that is Steve Rogers in the Iron Patriot suit.

this is gay, dont buy the hype Dukes, you’ll be disappointed that the Iron Patriot is nothing more than Iron man’s and Capt Americas illegitimate love child with authority parental authority issues.

Just another way to get people to read comics. Looks like it is interesting if you enjoy comics. Read it if you like it.
That pic is pretty sweeeeet.
One other thing, when they going to make a Captin America movie? This guy is a staple in the comic world and they have done nothing to make a movie happen in the last 30 years. Get it done Hollywood, quit talking about it.

I heard you talking about this on a replay the other day so I picked up the first 2 issues. I keep up with Thunderbolts and still had no idea this was even going on. I stayed away from that whole invasion thing….
I love where Normon Osbourn is going.
Pick up The Sword.
The creators live in DC and an earlier issue took place in good ol Fairfax, Va…nice battle near Fair Lakes.
