The Fukerton’s Exclusive Interview with Lakers’ Point Guard Derek Fisher

We got a chance to catch up with D-Fish to talk with him about a number things. To be honest, we think it’s one of the best interviews to take place on the Fukerton. With everything Derek has been through both on and off the court, it made for an amazing and telling conversation. It was a real pleasure and hope the interview is as enjoyable to listen to as it was to conduct.

The Fukerton’s Exclusive Interview with Best Selling Author Max Brooks

Max Brooks is a genius.  Not only has he written two classic zombie best sellers, but he re-defined the genre.  I credit him with a great deal of the revitalization of zombies in popular culture.  Every day we see a new zombie novel, video game or movie.  The Fukerton got the opportunity to discuss all of these things with Max.  We also got an update on his new graphic novel and the World War Z movie. It was a thrill.

Click HERE to download the interview and click HERE to get Max’s new book. I’ve read it. It’s pretty fricken sweet.

The Fukerton Interviews: Exclusive interview with Bungie’s Joseph Staten. Halo 3: ODST

The Fukerton Interviews carry on.  This man is the voice of the Grunt’s.  He has written novels about Halo.  And Joseph Staten KNOWS about ODST.  It was the honor of The Fukerton to talk to a guy this high up in a company like Bungie.  They are the are responsible for the  flagship title of the Xbox empire.  That’s nothing to scoff at.

We got a chance to ask Joseph about the new features of ODST, what it’s like working on Halo and what he can expect from Reach. The cannon for Halo is deep and potentially fertile for alternate story lines.  That means that the Master Chief was only the beginning.  I suggest you have yerself a listen.

Click HERE for the interview and click HERE for Bungie’s official site.  It seems that Bungie has the gamers’ priorities in mind.  Let’s hope that other game developers take a cue from the big dog.

An interview with Mark Neveldine: Director of Gamer, Crank and Crank 2

BDK draws ire from many people, but I think we worked well together during this interview.  Mark Neveldine is a good sort that loves action movies.  Now he gets to make action movies.  Kick ass action movies that manage set themselves apart from the rest of the oversaturated genre.  In this interview, we had a chance to ask Mark about his new movie “Gamer.”  We also discussed working with Leonidas himself and whether or not they busted his balls about “PS I love you.”  We managed to find out about an amazing easter egg included in the flick, and how the directors were influenced by one of the greatest action films of all time.  The subject of a Crank 3 was also brought up and hopefully you will crank when you hear the answer.  I know I felt tempted.

To hear the interview in its entirety, click HERE.  Make sure to check out Gamer this Friday and pick up Crank 2 on DVD.

The Fukerton catches up with Punkass and Skyskrape from TapouT on the set of their new movie: “Warrior” (Part 1)

We here at The Fukerton are huge fans of TapouT. They embody everything that is good about America and built their company from the ground up. Mask, Punkass and Skyskrape somehow managed to build a company, make a kick ass product, keep it affordable and promote the hell out of the best sport in the world: mixed martial arts. Charles Lewis’ death was a terrible blow to all friends of the sport and all that knew him. Like most people, we here at The Fukerton were selfishly concerned about how the tragic passing of Mask would effect the TapouT juggernaut.  Anyone that knew of the company knew that Mask was a huge piece of the puzzle.

Luckily, as you will see by watching the videos below, Charles Lewis would be very pleased that his partners in crime are busting their ass to make sure TapouT continues to flourish. The Fukerton’s very own Creepy Justin had a chance to sit down with Punkass and Skyskrape in Pittsburgh on the set of their movie.  They discussed everything from the new season of the TapouT television  show to UFC 100. If you were a fan before, you’ll be zealot after seeing this stuff. Big thanks to the TapouT Crew, check out their amazing gear and radio show by clicking HERE.

Punkass and Skyskrape give us the dirt on their new flick: “Warrior” by Lionsgate film.

The TapouT crew speaks on the untimely passing of their co-founder: Charles “Mask” Lewis.

The guys give us the dirt on the new season of TapouT on the Versus Network

Punkass and Skyskrape address the Rumors of a replacement for Mask.

We’ve got more and we are going to post it.  When even have some TapouT gear to give out courtesy of…well, I’m sure you can figure it out.  Check back tomorrow with The Fukerton for part 2 of our interview with Punkass and Skrape.  Good Shit.

The Fukerton’s Exclusive Interview with Blues Traveler (naughty language alert!)

The Fukerton’s Exclusive Interview with Blues Traveler (naughty language alert!)

We here at the Fukerton got a chance to catch up with Chan Kinchla and John Popper of one of our favorite bands of all time: Blues Traveler. I will now make the awkward transition to first person to say that I have been a fan of this band since the early 90’s. From their self titled album to Straight on till Morning. From “Carolina Blues” to the “Mountains Win Again,” I love just about everything they have ever released. I saw them several times in the 90’s at Horde Festival and they always sounded immaculate. I was trepidatious about how they would sound after a decade and I’m stoked that I was not in any way disappointed. What a show.

This interview is vulgar and under the influence, but I can’t remember having more fun talking to a band. We cover everything from devious, perverted, sexual maneuvers to American Idol to firearms selection. John has some sound advice for any firearm owner, and he also could have had a ball licking if he would have asked for one. There is some horrible language in here, but it’s a pretty good. Thanks to Creepy Justin, Shaky Knee, KC Dukes and Gina Thompson from Blues Traveler for setting it up. You can check out more about the band you should already know more about by clicking HERE and you can follow them on Twitter by clicking HERE.

The Fukerton’s Exclusive interview with Halo Wars lead designer: Dave Pottinger

The Fukerton’s Exclusive interview with Halo Wars lead designer: Dave Pottinger

The Halo franchise is a juggernaut. The only danger the franchise is generally in is drowning it’s creators under an avalanche of cash. That’s why it was strange that the developer of Halo Wars was promptly shut down my Microsoft. The game posed an interesting dilemma: turn a first rate FPS into a first rate RTS. Until this point, real time strategy games and gaming consuls went together about as useful as common sense in the radio business. No one could pull it off. Dave and his crew have taken a huge step towards ending that line of thinking. Halo Wars is very good. Graphics, sound, story and characters. This game has it all. It’s very cool to be able to discuss a game of this magnitude with the man most responsible for it’s creating. To hear the Fukerton’s exclusive interview with Dave Pottinger, click HERE.

This never gets old…

Yahoo’s Steve Cofield is a good egg. It’s always nice to see an interview we conduct here at the Fukerton show up on such a large website. Here is Cofield’s write up on just a few points we hit the interview we conducted with UFC president Dana White:

Many fans are excited to see what former WWE wrestler Bobby Lashley will do with his new mixed martial arts career and if he’ll have a home in the UFC. The comparisons are clearly there with UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar, who exploded to the title after just three professional MMA fights following his wrestling career. Both guys are huge, had very good amateur wrestling careers and have the look that is highly marketable in the fight world. Surprisingly, when TheFukerton.com asked White, who will be the UFC first, Lashley or pro wrestler Kurt Angle, he was pretty definitive about the big guy’s prospects:

“Neither. I don’t know, just because Brock did it doesn’t mean everyone can do it.”

White was also pushed about UFC 100. He said that he’s finally had some time to look at it. He promised a huge card, that will not disappoint but without signed contracts, he’s going to hold off throwing out certain names.

Tip of our hats to Yahoo Sports for the exposure.  Check out the interview in its entirety by clicking HERE.
