Big weekend for The RodKast and for afternoon show. We had our HUGE event at Afterlife 360 for the WEC fight. A shitload of fighters showed up and we packed the joint. Shaky knee put together a little video (featured below) of reactions from people that were in attendance if you were not able to make it out. Keep in mind, the only promotion this event got was on this very site. Goes to show the drawing power of the Fukerton and how badass RodKast listeners are.
The video above is from the interview Lavar and I did with UFC president Dana White. I included it because it was such an amazing experience. I say this with all humility, I have interviewed a lot of famous people in lots of different walks of life. Dana is tied for the biggest thrill thus far in my life. Jim Norton is the other. There is something very different about having the man sitting across from you when you are speaking to him as opposed to on the phone. Dana was beyond accommodating and a tremendous interview. It was a very special day. Thanks to everyone that came out and helped out.
***UPDATE!!! Seth Petruzelli (The man who knocked out Kimbo) and Tom Lawlor (The man that choked out CB Dollaway) are both coming out for the RodKast WEC viewing party. Lawlor is fighting the next night at UFC FIght Night in Fairfax, Petruzelli is fighting Ken Shamrock in a few weeks. Both will be at Afterlife 360. Creepy justin is a juggernaut!***
Let’s be honest, Direct TV and Versus had kind of boned a lot of people. Not to worry. Our friends at Afterlife 360 in Manassas have stepped up again! This Sunday night, January 10th. Come out and watch the fight for free with the Kast of the RodKast. We had a blast on Monday night. The place has great service and unreal specials. Bartie Lang had three meals by himself last time.
Henderson vs Varner should be a war and also our boy Urijah Faber returns to the cage as well. We will have prizes and shit to give away and drinks will be flowing. The second HD RodKast is up and ready to roll. Don’t let the 3 segments fool you. It’s a full two hours. The segments are long and they can’t fit through the gate, the gate is NARROW. Not only do we have the normal horseshit, you get to hear a great interview with WEC champion Ben Henderson and our experiment on the phones crash and burn.

We here at The Fukerton are huge fans of TapouT. They embody everything that is good about America and built their company from the ground up. Mask, Punkass and Skyskrape somehow managed to build a company, make a kick ass product, keep it affordable and promote the hell out of the best sport in the world: mixed martial arts. Charles Lewis’ death was a terrible blow to all friends of the sport and all that knew him. Like most people, we here at The Fukerton were selfishly concerned about how the tragic passing of Mask would effect the TapouT juggernaut. Anyone that knew of the company knew that Mask was a huge piece of the puzzle.
Luckily, as you will see by watching the videos below, Charles Lewis would be very pleased that his partners in crime are busting their ass to make sure TapouT continues to flourish. The Fukerton’s very own Creepy Justin had a chance to sit down with Punkass and Skyskrape in Pittsburgh on the set of their movie. They discussed everything from the new season of the TapouT television show to UFC 100. If you were a fan before, you’ll be zealot after seeing this stuff. Jeff talks about trying to balance running a gym, training for a fight and being a family man. We discuss the upcoming Pulver/Faber fight and he makes his pick in the GSP/BJ Penn match up. Interesting to hear how a guy that has had so much success still has to burn the candle at both ends. I guess not everyone is making Tim Sylvia money just yet. (Can you hear the sarcasm dripping?) Good luck to Jeff in April, he’s a stand up guy.
Whatever you think of Frank Trigg you can’t deny he knows his shit and earns his wage talking MMA. Great stuff here. Trigg talks Fedor, Mir, Lesnar, why he was taken off the Affliction color commentary and who he thinks is the best fighter in the world. Guy is great at what he does.
I’ve been pretty luck the last couple weeks. Ryan Bader did a great interview with the Fukerton. Jens Pulver killed it with his segment and now we get to hear from Varner. What a great dude with great head on his shoulders. Jamie spoke with us about his upcoming title defense against Donald Cerrone and his choice to leave the UFC for the WEC. Jamie discussed the success of his camp at Arizona Combat, whether MMA fans are racist and does Brock Lesnar deserve his title. Jamie is a great champion and a nice dude. At 24, he’s got a long prosperous career ahead of him and I look forward to seeing his continued success.
Jens is a class act. I have lots of issues with my family as well so he is a man I can relate on a personal level. The shit that this guy is having to overcome right now is unreal. The emotion he shows in this interview in genuine and should be admired. It’s rare you find a fighter of Pulver’s caliber that is this honest and forthcoming. I can’t imagine how he is going to get into the ring with Faber and move past all of these issues, but I know one thing. I will be pulling for Lil Evil.

I would first like to say Jens is a class act. I had to reschedule this interview for technical reasons and he was very accommodating. He was at the hospitol with his wife when I called and he still made time for my dumb ass. Jens was coming off a tough loss and a lesser man might not have felt like talking about it, but this is really a special fighter. I have no doubt he’ll come back from this better, wiser and more acclimated to his new fighting style. Jen’s talks about his fight with Leonard Garcia, Urijah Faber’s loss, his new fight team and if the WEC is ready for pay per view. Good Shit.
